Welcome to our frequently asked questions for the Subcard® loyalty program and Catering. We hope to have all your queries covered below.

(If you have a comment or compliment regarding a Subway® experience and not our loyalty program, please use our online customer service form to provide feedback or make an enquiry.)

Where do I get a Subcard®?

You can get your physical Subcard® card free from any participating Subway® restaurant, simply ask for one at the time of your purchase.

You can also get a virtual Subcard® by downloading the Subway® app. Simply visit your app store and search for ‘Subway Australia’. The Subway® app is available on iPhone and Android mobile devices.

Once you have downloaded the app, complete the registration steps and a virtual Subcard® will automatically be linked to your account.

If you have an iPhone (iOS) or an Android phone, you can download the Subway® app on your mobile. By downloading the app, you will be able to:

  • Order from your phone with just a few swipes.
  • Automatically earn rewards dollars each time you buy.
  • Receive exclusive promotional offers and vouchers direct to your app.
  • Freeze your account if your mobile phone is lost or stolen.

Reward dollars are our way of rewarding you for being a loyal Subway® guest. You will automatically earn reward dollars every time you make a food or beverage purchase at a Subway® restaurant and scan your Subcard® (either a physical Subcard® or using the QR code on the virtual card via the Subway® app). You’ll also automatically earn reward dollars every time you make a purchase through the Subway® app or when logged in to the Subway® online ordering website.

Please note it’s not possible to earn reward dollars when purchasing Subway® through Delivery platforms such as Uber Eats

The actual value of the reward dollars you receive depends on the promotions currently running. The best way to see how many reward dollars you are getting is from your receipt. You can also go online at www.subcard.com.au or log in to the Subway® app to check your Subcard® balance.

Once you have reached a minimum balance of $3 reward dollars and your Subcard® has been registered, you can use this balance to purchase any item on the menu, and you can even use it to pay for part of your purchase transaction. Reward dollars cannot be redeemed for cash.

Reward dollars will automatically expire 12 months after the date that you earn them. Credit loaded onto your Subcard® account will automatically expire 36 months after the date that you, or the person gifting you the credit, loaded the credit onto your Subcard®.

Your Subcard® reward dollars balance will be printed on your receipt each time you make a purchase at a Subway® restaurant. You can also go online at www.subcard.com.au or log in to the Subway® app to check your Subcard® balance.

Yes, if you have linked your physical Subcard® card to a virtual Subcard®, then you can earn, load and redeem with your virtual Subcard® just as you would have done with your physical Subcard®. They will link to the same records, which are updated in real time.

You must register your physical Subcard® card, in order to redeem the rewards you earn. If you don’t register your physical card, you will still be able to earn reward dollars, but you will not be able to redeem them.

Registering your card also has the following benefits:

  • You will receive exclusive promotional offers, including by email and/or via the Subway® app
  • If your physical Subcard® card is lost or stolen you can freeze the remaining balance on your old Subcard® card from the time that you report it to us.

Yes, in order to redeem reward dollars you need to activate your physical Subcard® card by registering it at www.subcard.com.au. If you don’t register your physical card, you will still be able to earn reward dollars, but you will not be able to redeem them.

Registering your card also has the following benefits:

  • You will receive exclusive promotional offers, including by email and/or via the Subway® app
  • If your physical Subcard® card is lost or stolen you can freeze the remaining balance on your old Subcard® card from the time that you report it to us.

Virtual cards issued using the Subway® app are automatically activated when you sign up.

No, you can use a virtual Subcard® without having a physical Subcard®.

The Subway® app (including the virtual Subcard®) is available on iPhone (iOS) & Android phones.

For in restaurant purchases, just scan the QR code shown in the Subway® app on our in-restaurant system at checkout. Scanners in restaurant will be able to read both the QR code on your phone and those on physical Subcard® cards.

For all online purchases made via the Subway® app or when logged into Online Ordering website, reward dollars will be automatically earned without having to scan the QR code on your app.

You can load credit and earn Subway® reward dollars on the virtual Subcard® just as you do with a physical Subcard®.

Yes you can use your Subcard® gift card to make an online order. To do so, if you don’t already have a Subcard® account, sign up here and register your Subway® gift card (you can find your Subcard® number on the back of the card, or when you select “click here to print voucher” on your eGift card.

If you already have a Subcard® account, head to merge cards and add your Subcard® gift card details.

If you don’t have your card or phone with you at the time of purchase, you can still earn reward dollars if you provide your mobile number to the Sandwich Artist® at the point of purchase. Please note, the mobile number you provide needs to be the one linked to your Subcard® account in order for reward dollars to be earned and linked to your account.

If you don’t have your card or phone when you purchase and you don’t provide your mobile number, please note reward dollars cannot be earned at the point of purchase, and reward dollars cannot be added retrospectively to your account.

If you experience a problem with your card or mobile when trying to earn reward dollars, please contact the Subcard® team on 1300 023 578.

If you have forgotten your username or password please select Forgot/Change Password? on the sign in page, and follow the steps to reset your password.

If you lose your card or it is stolen, you can freeze your Subcard® balance by visiting www.subcard.com.au or calling 1300 023 578.  You must then visit a Subway® restaurant to collect a new physical Subcard® card.  To associate the new card to your account and transfer your balances onto a single Subcard® you can request this via the Merge Card process at www.subcard.com.au or call us on 1300 023 578

The good news is your card details are linked to your account not device, therefore once you pick up your new phone you can log in and continue to earn reward dollars with every purchase.

Our catering is available to order conveniently through our app or online with just a few clicks.

We offer a variety of delicious products at a great value and always made just the way you like. We also provide unparalleled convenience and customer service.

Catering is available same day through our app for up to 4 platters. For any future orders, you can order larger amounts. We recommend that you contact your local restaurant directly if you have any urgent orders.

Absolutely! You can always build your order just the way you like. If you would like veggies or toppings on the side, specific types of breads or have any other special requests, just let us know. We’re happy to accommodate you.

We can cater for a variety of dietary requirements. Please ensure you notify the restaurant as part of your order.

Additionally, we have gluten free platters made with gluten free ingredients. Although we take steps to reduce chances of cross-contamination, we prepare our items on shared equipment so we cannot guarantee our menu items as gluten free.
